It’s February! We have made it to the second month of the new year, and spring is upon us. There are a ton of fun things happening in February here in San Diego! We try to pull events from as many sources as we can- but we don’t catch all the events! If we missed something, please let us know in the comments so we can update the list.
February Runs/Races
Burn Run 5K– February 4th
Our mission is to reduce burn injuries and deaths through fire and burn prevention education and burn survivor support programs. This run will help spread awareness & raise funds!
Cardiff Kook Run and Costume Contest– February 5th 2017 at 7 AM
Super Bowl Sunday. Have some unique fun in San Diego. Where else can you run in the Cardiff Kook Run. 5K (3.1 miles), 4 miles and 10K (6.2 miles) races along the Pacific Ocean in beautiful Cardiff-by-the-Sea. Registration fee required and prizes will be offered. Get your team together for some great fun in San Diego.
Cupid’s Undie Run– February 11th
Cupid’s Undie Run started with the goal of raising money to end neurofibromatosis and, having raised $3.5 million last year, this thing just keeps getting bigger.
Coronado Valentine’s Day 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run– February 12th
In its 7th year, the event has earned a great reputation for its attention to detail, race management, and an awesome post-race party at Tidelands Park & McP’s.
Ultimate Wine Run (Liberty Station)– February 18th at 4pm
The Ultimate Wine Run is a highly anticipated & adventurous event held at the most beautiful vineyards and venues throughout the country. Our Race Day Run & Party includes an amazing 5k run through an awe inspiring vineyard or venue with lots of wine & fun festivities for you & your entire family.
Jump Start Your Heart Run Mission Bay- February 19th at 10am
Congenital heart defects are America’s and every country’s #1 birth defect. Nearly one of every 100 babies is born with a CHD. Support this cause by running this race.

February 4th from 9am-4pm
The Kendall-Frost/Northern Wildlife Reserve in the northeast corner of Mission Bay Park is the only remaining saltwater wetland in Mission Bay and is normally closed to the public due to its fragile nature. This annual event is one of the few opportunities for the public to actually visit the wetland.
San Diego Fermentation Festival
February 4th from 10am-5pm
Celebrating Food, Culture, Knowledge, and Community. Features a Makers Marketplace showcasing the southern California bounty of artisanal foodmakers and brewers, an Ambrosia Garden (21+) featuring fermented adult beverages such as mead, beer, kombucha and wine, workshops and presentations, Wellness Pavilion with yoga classes, live music and entertainment.
San Diego Moms Blog Valentines Craft Fair
February 11th 9am-3pm
VIP starting at 9am! Come and shop with our local businesses, have your kiddos do some fun valentine themed crafts, and VIP ticket holders get face painting included. There are giveaways and lots of swag and valentine time themed photo opportunities.
February 11th from 8:30am-2pm
Residents must provide photo identification and show proof of residency. A water bill or electric bill is acceptable. 10 sandbags will be given for each address/property (while supply lasts). Residents must self-load and transport the sandbags.
Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo
February 11-12 starting at 10am
Sample and purchase hundreds of products, meet with local and national brands, receive coupons, and attend informative presentations by top-notch speakers. While all products at the Expo are gluten free, many are also free from the top 8 allergens. There is also a dedicated nut-free section.
February 18th
This special 1-day only fest will celebrate craft beverages from California and beyond and features live local music, food, and other vendors.
This event benefits Outdoor Outreach and the San Diego Mountain Biking Association (SDMBA).
Moms Pampered Night Out with SDMB
February 24th from 7:30pm-9:30pm
Join SDMB and some local mamas for a relaxing night out, including a glass of champagne, mini manis, 5 min massage, and makeup tips from a local makeup artist! Plus swag! See you there.
February 25th
Come and sample dozens of domestic, imported and crafted beers and sample delicious tater tot creations for your guilty dining pleasure.
Tuesday February 28 2017
Party in the streets to celebrate Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp Quarter downtown San Diego. Dance and dine all night at this largest event in the Gaslamp Quarter, and one of the best San Diego events in February.
