Halloween Drink Recipes for a Scary Good Time

                                                                            Halloween

Halloween is almost here! While some stores would like you to believe it’s December with their ornaments and stockings already put out, it’s only October! So let’s enjoy every bit of this holiday because this is the one where we can really let our hair down and be creative. These drinks are perfect for your paranormal party or just for sipping while you hand out candy.

Witches Brew

  1. Pour the gelatin mix into a large bowl. Slowly stir in the boiling water. Stir at least 2 minutes, until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in the pineapple juice, the entire 2 liter of soda and the vodka. Let cool to room temperature.

                                                                          halloween

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 (750-milliliter) bottles Cabernet Sauvignon
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup orange liqueur
  • 24 ounces club soda, chilled
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  1. Bring sugar and 1¼ cups water to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, and let stand 10 minutes.
  2. Combine sugar mixture, red wine, orange juice, and liqueur in a large container; cover and chill 4 hours. Stir in club soda, oranges, and blackberries just before serving. Serve over ice.

*This makes enough for a party, try halving the recipe like I did for a smaller crowd.

Picture this: it’s Halloween night and you realize you forgot to pick up spooky spirits for the adults! Eeek! Before you hide under your covers in fright here are some drinks made with potions that you might already have in your haunted pantry.

A Rabid Red- Just pour your favorite red in glass garnished with fake blood (I used baking sparkle gel). This is my favorite!

Jack-o-lantern and coke- Mr. Frankenstein’s drink of choice is simply 2 oz of whiskey to 10 oz coke. Pour over ice and enjoy!

Twisted tequila shots- The name says it all but rim the shot glass in black rimming salt first.

                                                                      For the little ghosts

                                                                          halloween

The “mummy” juice box is kind of a Halloween kid drink must have, but don’t forget water! I love the mini bottles because they’re the perfect size for small hands and less likely to be knocked over. Here I just attached a creepy bug as a little extra something. Try using fake spiders, roaches, or worms to add variety and ask the kids to use all of them for a story or pretend play.

For older kids who won’t spill, try mixing a little ginger ale (caffiene free-yay!) with cranberry juice. They’ll feel a little grown! Don’t forget to rim the glass with some creepy fake blood.

                                                                       Haunt safely!

If you’ve had too many drinks please call a friend, UberLyft or taxi instead of hopping on your broomstick.
