Coronado Beach

This popular beach is beautiful, easy to reach and perfect for kids because of the slow drop into the ocean. The beach starts right in front of the famous Hotel del Coronado and continues north to Sunset Park. There are plenty of public restrooms, rock mounds for tide pooling with your kids, and plenty of perfect spots to build the perfect sandcastle. Moonlight Beach

This wide, sandy beach offers swimming, surfing and fishing. Facilities include volleyball and tennis courts, recreational equipment rentals and a snack bar.  The “moonlight” in the name of this beach comes from the fact that local residents used to come to the area for midnight picnics early in the early 1900s.
