We are continuing on in our “San Diego” series with Pacific Beach!

Pacific Beach may have a reputation as party central, but have no fear! There are several family friendly gems both on and away from the well traveled paths of this popular tourist destination!

Pacific Beach Family

Coffee

99 Cups offers organic fresh brewed coffee, breakfast, lunch, and acai bowls! Away from the well traveled paths of PB, this quaint shop is a favorite amongst locals.

Java Earth Café is the perfect coffee shop to read, study, and catch up with friends. They also made our best acai bowl list several months back!

Drive through Coffee:  Better Buzz#1  Better Buzz #2  Starbucks

Parks

Fanuel Street Park is located at the end of Fanuel Street and includes a gorgeous view of the bay. Kids love the playground and there is an excellent bike and running path! Walking distance to Catamaran Resort and Spa which offers it’s own water fun activities and gorgeous grounds.

Kate O Sessions Memorial Park includes views of both the bay and Pacific Ocean and offers a fun playground with beautiful kid friendly hiking trails.

Kid Fun Zones

G3 Kids offers gymnastics programs, kid activities, parents night out, and camps galore!

Crystal Pier Bait and Tackle will help you and your family with a mini fishing adventure, right off the Crystal Pier!

Mr. Frostie, a legendary walk up ice cream shop since 1949! The kids will thank you!

Surf Monkey Bikes offers bike rentals and tours of some of San Diego’s most scenic ocean views. Fun for kids and adults, both local and visiting our gorgeous city!

Must Try Restaurants

Oscars is the tiny walk up restaurant on Turquoise, identifiable by the line and well known for some the best fish tacos in San Diego.

Fig Tree Café made our kid friendly breakfast list, featuring a gorgeous patio setting, and they are known for excellent mimosas!

Konos just might be San Diego’s most popular breakfast destination made famous by it’s Big Breakfasts and ocean views. Get there early to avoid the line.

Konitos is Konos’ second location! Same food, same friendly atmosphere, smaller wait time for those amazing Big Breakfasts.

Date Night

Enoteca Adriano offers a romantic atmosphere with incredible Italian dishes. Make a reservation ahead of time to ensure your table is ready upon arrival.

The Fishery is known for phenomenal seasonal dishes, locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, and fresh seafood. Also includes it’s Tuesday Tastings and a walk in fish market.

Pacific Beach Fish Shop is a casual spot to enjoy fresh fish, local beers, and if you’re lucky- you might grab a spot by the fire. You can also bring your own bottle of wine!

What are your favorite Pacific Beach family friendly locations? We are always looking for new adventures!
