Using a Mobile Mechanic:: How YourMechanic Changed My Car Service Experience

My car didn’t need anything complicated, just an oil change and the tires rotated. The problem was, I kept putting it off because taking my energetic 6-year-old with me to the shop sounded like torture for both of us.mechanic

Then, I had the opportunity to give YourMechanic a try. It was so easy! I went online to www.yourmechanic.com and created my account. I added the information about my car and chose the services I needed. Then I checked through the available appointment times and picked what worked for me. They are available 7 days a week and can come to your home or your office. I booked my appointment for early on a Friday morning, because I figured I could cross this off my to-do list while making breakfast and still have the rest of the day to do everything else.

Every single aspect of this appointment was thought through. I received a text message when my mechanic, Chris, was headed to my house. I could track his progress if I wanted to with a GPS link they texted me as well. Chris showed up exactly on time, which is always much appreciated when you have a busy day ahead of you. He was professional, prepared, and even patiently answered the slew of questions my son asked him about what he was doing.

Although the appointment was scheduled to be 90 minutes, Chris had changed the oil and rotated the tires in about half that time. He also performed a full inspection to make sure all the fluids were full and there weren’t any other underlying issues I would need to address in the near future. Lucky for me he didn’t find anything! He did no attempt to sell me something extra or fix something I wasn’t prepared to fix. Since everything was taken care of online, I didn’t need to worry about payment or paperwork, either.

Shortly after the work was completed, I received an email update with all of the diagnostics for my car. It included the health of my tires, brakes, engine, fluids, and even the interior of the car. He had taken pictures as he worked so I could see what was done and how certain areas of the car looked. All of this information was then available on the account I had created and allows me to track all of the maintenance I have done on my car. It is so easy!

This service took a chore that I generally loathe and turned it into a quick and simple task. The fact that I could schedule any day and time that worked for me and actually be able to accomplish things around the house while the work was being done has me totally sold on mobile mechanic service! Seriously, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!
