Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood on Tour

The beloved Daniel Tiger and his many sweet and silly friends from the Neighborhood of Make-Believe come to life in this mesmerizing interactive musical tour. Since premiering in 2012, the No. 1 PBS Kids TV series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood has transferred the magic of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood into its own animated hit. 

The show stars Daniel, the son of Mom Tiger and Dad Tiger, along with the children of other neighborhood families, including O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina, and Prince Wednesday, as well as Mister Rogers’ famous red Trolley, who takes them all through the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Just like Fred Rogers so humbly did with his own iconic children’s series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood teaches the importance of respect, empathy, friendship, and communication, all with plenty of fun and humor sprinkled throughout.

Content & Connection launched in early 2019 as a way for my clients of Auctus Social to network & have fresh photos for their Instagram feeds. Studio by the Bay Family Days

In collaboration with Seaport Village, Studio by the Bay is an extension of The New Children’s Museum’s process-based art practice. Two professional artists are creating artwork in the studio located in Seaport Village, exploring blue economy and their connection to water as a central theme in their projects.

Studio by the Bay provides an opportunity for the visiting community and local artists to interact, consistent with the Museum’s mission to stimulate creativity, imagination and critical-thinking skills in children and families through inventive experiences with contemporary art. Both the Museum and Seaport Village are iconic family destinations in the Marina District positioned near the San Diego Bay. The presence of working artists in this partnership strengthens ties among neighbors and builds the capacity for arts and culture along the port of San Diego.

World Thinking Day with Girl Scouts San Diego and Word Girl!

Join KPBS and Girl Scouts San Diego at the San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum for World Thinking Day!

This event helps kids explore cultural diversity and global leadership with hands-on activities, live performances, and tasty snacks!

Complimentary Museum admission for the first 300 registrants to check in. All other registrants must pay regular Museum admission. Girl Scouts may sign up for at patch at check-in. Miranda Lambert Wildcard Tour 2020

Monster Energy Supercross World Championship

The San Diego Museum Month discount pass is free and can be used to get half-price admission at more than 40 local museums in the month of February. You do not have to be a resident of San Diego County to pick up a pass. Anyone can enjoy San Diego Museum Month!

The San Diego Museum Month discount pass can be picked up a participating Macy’s store locations in San Diego County including Chula Vista Center, Fashion Valley, Grossmont Center, Otay Ranch Town Center, Parkway Plaza, The Shoppes at Carlsbad Mall, Westfield Horton Plaza, Westfield Mission Valley, Westfield North County, Westfield Plaza Bonita and Westfield UTC. Passes are also available at the Macy’s Imperial Valley Mall store in Imperial County. A purchase is not required to receive a free San Diego Museum Month pass.

The San Diego Museum Month discount pass can also be picked up at over 75 library locations in the San Diego area.  You do not need a library card to request a free pass.

Coffee & Play with San Diego Moms Connect

We are excited to announce ‘San Diego Moms Connect’, a new monthly meetup designed for mamas and kids to connect through new experiences each month all over San Diego. These monthly events are sponsored by our partners Renee’s Book Corner and Positively Zen. Our kickoff event will be at San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum in Escondido on Tuesday, January 18th from 9:30AM -11:30AM. SDCDM is also hosting a toddler play and story time at 10am.

In addition, we will have crafts for kids, coffee available for purchase and the opportunity to connect with other moms! If you haven’t been to San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum, you are really missing out. Join Master Artist, Aditi Vengurlekar at California Pizza Kitchen in Fashion Valley for step-by-step Instruction on how to paint your own Wine Glasses. A tutorial on glass painting will be held at the beginning of class then everyone will be able to paint their own design. All supplies provided, each guest paints a pair of glasses. Choose wine or beer.

Special glass paint along with many other materials will be provided for the class. Instructions on how to bake glassware to ensure the paint is long lasting will be provided to take home. Must be 21+ to attend even if you will not be drinking.

High Tech Fair is unique in that its charter is to enlighten 7th–12th grade students to the world of science and the possibilities of a scientific career. The teens enjoy seeing “real life” applications of what they may be learning in the classroom, and will (hopefully) become inspired to pursue a career in science! We will have over 30 different exhibitors showcasing new technologies!

Saturday Science Club for Girls

12PM – 2PM | Balboa Park

Join the Fleet Science Center in San Diego’s Balboa Park on the second Saturday of each month to investigate exciting science topics. Each Saturday session will be filled with new challenges, hands-on activities and interaction with local women scientists. Throughout the year, an array of fields are explored, including biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, physics, robotics and much more! Saturday Science Club for Girls is held the second Saturday of the month from noon to 2 p.m. Members $13, non-members $15 per person.

Sunday Science Club is held the second Sunday of the month from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday classes are co-ed for grades 5 to 8.

Kroc Center Family Read & Play Days are monthly events for children ages five and under geared toward getting kids excited about reading.
